THE PLATE SCRAPERS (6:30 – 8:30pm)
Originated in 2014 in western Maryland the way any good bluegrass band does: from a bunch of fellers pickin’ around in a circle, surrounded by delicious plates of food, strong libations, and good friends. The traditional spirit of The Plate Scrapers is still innately intact nearly 8 years later, though they have evolved into far more than your average bluegrass band. Through diverse backgrounds and influences ranging from jazz, to hard rock, to funk, the band has taken their music to an eclectic new level.
THE WILSON SPRINGS HOTEL (9 – 11pm)
Hailing from all parts of Virginia, The Wilson Springs Hotel is rooted in country, folk, and bluegrass. They released their self-titled debut album in the fall of 2021, and are set to tour throughout 2022. The music plays into the traditional roles within the genres, but is also taken to a unique sound that simply is The Wilson Springs Hotel. New Grass, Rockabilly, Country Rock, the list doesn’t really end.
The Wilson Springs Hotel are Jacob Ritter (lead vocals, acoustic guitar), Victor McManus (electric guitar, banjo), Brendan Boylan (fiddle), Sebastien Richard (bass), and Pat Bowdring (drums).
