STRUNG LIKE A HORSE (2 – 3:30pm)

Sometime in 1983 a junkyard rocket shaped sperm crash-landed into a 1965 cadillac eldorado shaped egg (convertible of course) and nine months later, give or take, Clay Maselle horse-kicked his way into a world to which he would never belong. In time he discovered he was not alone. There were other hillbilly misfits living undercover all around him. A born leader, he got four of them arrested for stealing yet another Cadillac–a hearse this time–and they became an inseparable unit. Seeing as how they weren’t employable they turned to the only thing all of them were actually good at… pickin’
Several years and many thousands of miles later the strung like a horse outfit, now a well-oiled machine, gallops all around this great country. Don’t miss their signature Americana sound and fiery hot high-energy stage show. moonshine is optional but recommended. These junkyard dogs bring “honest, playful, headbangingly interactive fun” to any venue their rocket crashes. More at strunglikeahorse.com

ABBY BRYANT & THE ECHOES (4 – 6pm)

A music minister’s daughter turned fierce frontwoman, Abby Bryant has cemented her presence as a standout in Americana and soul with her band’s debut album Not Your Little Girl. The 13-track LP features Bryant’s raw vocal talent supported by the confident and dynamic backing group The Echoes and establishes a strong foundation for the band in the world of vintage-inspired Americana and soul rock. DANGERMUFFIN (9 – 11pm)

Whether in the studio or on stage, Dangermuffin’s sound has always been conspicuously greater than the sum of its parts, and to witness the band live is to question everything you know about the dynamics of sound. While your eyes perceive a trio, your ears challenge that perception, registering a much broader, fuller, and complex soundstage. In part, this is due to Lotti’s clever technique of using the bass strings of his guitar to mimic the low end of an actual bass while concurrently playing rhythm, but it’s as much due to Sivilli’s fluent, poignant, often soaring riffs, and Sandifer’s creative, jazzy, and lively skins. Nowadays, the band alternates between trio and quartet, but this phenomenon was particularly evident in the early days, when the band played exclusively as a threesome. More at dangermuffinmusic.com
