This will be a GREAT night! \nEmpty Bottles began in 2014 as an amalgamation of open mic veterans searching for an identity. The multi-genre exploration resulted in an amorphous sound that changed set to set and song to song. \nFounding members Joey Dennis (guitar)\, Ben Hite (keys and vocals)\, and Steele Whisnant (bass and vocals) were joined in 2017 by Matt Faszewski (sax and vocals) and finally in 2020 by Chad Hester (percussion and vocals) and the 5 piece quickly settled into the role of the New River Valley’s premier Yacht Rock cover band. \nThe group sources material from iconic legends such as Kenny Loggins\, Hall and Oates\, and the Doobie Brothers. With dynamic vocal harmonies and driving dance grooves\, these fellas will put the wind back in anyone’s sails. So grab yourself a dance partner and get ready for a smooth voyage.

We are pleased to announce that Royal Horses will be on our stage for the first time! \n“Royal Horses is the premier up and coming band from Mississippi\, the place where American music was born\, and there is much more to come from the group. The group was formed in 2018\, and has quickly established a healthy following along the I-10 corridor\, largely due to their high energy performances and original material which struck a chord with lovers of roots music and jam bands alike. \nIn the summer of 2020 Royal Horses recorded their second album “Where the Purple Flowers Grow”\, set for release in late 2021. In the autumn of 2020\, Royal Horses linked up with producer Eddie Roberts of The New Mastersounds and recorded three singles on his Color Red label based in Denver\, CO. The Trio saw these singles achieve their highest number of streams yet on Spotify and were featured on numerous playlists\, including Ditty Tv’s Americana playlist. The band has since recorded their third record with Roberts\, which will be released on Color Red in 2022.”

King\, Koko Taylor\, Nina Simone\, Melody Gardot\, and Alison Krauss\, just to name a few. \nVocalist Becki Robertson Morrison was born and raised in the Richmond area to a family with musical roots at least 125 years deep. \nAs a child\, Becki quickly picked up classical piano and later classical guitar\, though her primary instrument has always been her natural and soulful\, rich-toned voice. \nSince 2018\, she has enjoyed hitting the stage at festivals and local and regional venues with virtuoso guitarist-saxophonist\, Willis Greenstreet\, bass player\, Brian Holt\, and drummer\, Matthew Holland\, along with many other musically-gifted guests.
