Rounding out this group is the newest member Mr. Charlie Reid\, one of the original and talented members of the group Stairwell. We enjoy performing many of your favorite songs\, adding our own unique twists with our strong vocals and harmonies. We are blessed with a number of original songs that have become favorites to many of our fans. We are not a dance band\, but if the urge hits you\, please feel free to do so. We like folks to grab a cool beverage and sit back and enjoy our music. Once again\, THANK YOU for supporting us over the past 40+ years. \nSpecial Thanks to the original Rarely Available Band formed in 1979 with Tim Caldwell\, Wayne Fulp and Steve Virts\, adding drummer Dave Hartman (current drummer for Southern Culture On The Skids) and bassist\, Dan Altic to complete the group in 1980. The very talented Brett Reynolds was later added as our drummer to fill Dave’s spot. This group continued performing for many years\, but stayed true to its name Rarely Available.

The character Tom\nSawyer evokes the rural background and love of home that the band shares. Time is a\nmuse for songwriting; it’s the thread that runs through life\, bringing new experiences and\ngiving us a sense of urgency\, while still connecting us with our past.\nThe folk-rock band has performed on the stages of some of the Southeast’s most iconic\nfestivals\, including Merlefest\, Floydfest\, Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion\, Albino Skunk\nMusic Festival\, and Carolina in the Fall. They’ve shared bills with American Aquarium\, John\nCraigie\, Hiss Golden Messenger\, Langhorne Slim\, John Moreland\, Steep Canyon Rangers\,\nThe Wood Brothers\, Susto\, and many more. \nIn March 2020 the band started a variety livestream called “Sam on Sunday.” The show\noriginated out of necessity\, as the pause button was hit for live shows\, but quickly\, connecting\nwith friends\, family\, and fans each week became just as important.
