SUMMARY:Dr. Bacon w/ St. Vith
DESCRIPTION:**TICKET SHOW** (see below for more info) \nWe are THRILLED to welcome Dr. Bacon to our stage for the very first time along with St. Vith! Check out their info\, mark your calendars\, and join us for a fun night of incredible music! \nDR. BACON is a 6 Piece touring Appalachian Funk\, Grass and Rock & Roll band. Blending incredibly diverse instrumentation with broad\, deep musical influences\, allows the band to perform a plethora of widely accessible\, danceable music.\nThe Dr. Bacon Live Experience is truly a spectacle to behold\, bringing the audience on a musical journey that lulls and spikes in energy\, caressing ears with lush beauty and whipping crowds into a tribal romp\, shaking booties and shedding inhibitions. This manic versatility ensures that no matter what genre of music you identify with most\, you will hear something that resonates. Dr. Bacon started playing together in 2012 on King Street in Boone as a 3 piece busking with acoustic bluegrass\, folk\, and 90s pop/rock/hip-hop influenced music. Several lineup changes over the years and a move to Asheville have refined and redirected the bands sound\, incorporating funk\, rock\, soul\, psychedelic and world music to Appalachian influences. The blending of several elements of these genres (often within the same song) along with unique instrumentation is the real Bacon flavor. \nST. VITH is an eclectic indie rock band based in the Finger Lakes region in New York. Comprised of members Oliver Burdo\, Kyle Ingersoll\, Quintin Olix and Jordan Seager. The group creates original psychedelic indie rock music by drawing from a diverse array of influences including Wilco\, Radiohead and Animal Collective. The quartet combines performance elements ranging from acoustic instruments to synthetic electronica sounds. Relentless local touring and recording have led to the group sharing a stage with members of Dave Matthews Band\, Trey Anastasio Band\, Jerry Garcia Band and many talented artists such as Matisyahu and Consider The Source. \n••• \n**TICKET SHOW** \nGA Early Bird: $10 (+fees) through 10/16 at 11:59pm (online only) \nGA Day of show: $15 (+fees) 10/17 (day of show at the door only) \n*Table tickets available* \nDoors: 7pm || Show: 8pm \nTickets are non-refundable. SUMMARY:The Deer Run Drifters
DESCRIPTION:Free show ~. \nThe Deer Run Drifters are back on the scene\, and we’re THRILLED to have them return to our stage!! \nTHE DEER RUN DRIFTERS \nWhat happens when two small-town musicians with a guitar\, a banjo\, and a whole lot of heart hit the streets of Floyd\, Virginia? If you’re Chris Link and Shane Edgell\, you turn a handful of curious listeners into lifelong fans\, sparking the rise of one of Americana music’s most authentic bands: The Deer Run Drifters. \nFrom their humble beginnings busking on street corners in 2011 to the makeshift stage of the first-ever Talford Rodeo in 2012\, the band quickly became a regional sensation. With Chris and Shane joined by Joe Link on mandolin\, Sean Edgell on guitar and harmonica\, and Will Norton holding down the bass\, The Deer Run Drifters carved out their place in the Americana scene. \nBy 2015\, the band had logged over 200 shows along the East Coast\, a US tour through the west\, played every dive bar the midwest had to offer\, and released two albums that captured the raw\, honest spirit of their music. Their debut\, Appalachian Blues\, earned acclaim for its tales of heartbreak and hardship\, wrapped in weathered lyrics and haunting instrumentals. Their follow-up\, Restless Youth\, added electric energy and a touch of rock\, showcasing a band unafraid to evolve. \nBut the road takes its toll. After completing their 2015 U.S. tour\, the Drifters disbanded\, stepping away to focus on family\, heal from the demands of the music industry\, and let time work its magic. \nNow\, more than a decade later\, The Deer Run Drifters are back. With a new lineup\, a renewed sense of purpose\, and fresh songs that embrace their traditional roots\, the band is ready to rekindle their connection with fans. Adding Roanoke native Geoff White on old-time fiddle\, and rowdy Floydian Josh Penn on percussion\, they’re doubling down on the grit and authenticity that made them a standout name in Americana music. \nThe band’s comeback isn’t just a fleeting reunion—it’s a full-fledged revival. They’re kicking off 2025 with a string of shows\, leading into festival season\, and—rumor has it—working on new music. Fans can expect the same soul-stirring lyrics\, dynamic instrumentals\, and storytelling charm\, now infused with the wisdom and growth of a decade away from the spotlight. \nThe Deer Run Drifters are ready to reclaim their place in the Americana music scene\, proving that some fires never burn out—they just need time to smolder before roaring back to life. \nFollow the band on social media (@TheDeerRunDrifters) and prepare for a year of unforgettable performances. This is one comeback story you won’t want to miss.

SUMMARY:Morgan Wade ~ Home for the Holidays
DESCRIPTION:** TICKET SHOW **\nMorgan Wade is home for the holidays and she’s bringing a special show to her hometown of Floyd\, VA this holiday season. We are beyond thrilled to have Morgan return to our stage for the first time since 2019 – Please join us for a very special show! \nMORGAN WADE\n“It’s good to reflect and see how far you’ve come\,” says acclaimed singer-songwriter Morgan Wade. Her latest album The Party Is Over (Recovered) (out 8/1 via Sony Music Nashville) is all about her past\, with the Virginia native revisiting songs she wrote before she became sober. When Wade was in college in Roanoke studying to become a doctor\, she was discovering herself in numerous other ways. Living on her own for the first time\, the formerly anti-alcohol teen began drinking and eventually doing drugs with her friends and classmates. But she also started writing songs that would establish her musical identity\, finding her voice and pursuing a passion thatwould become her livelihood. \n“I was really changing and trying to figure out who the hell I was\,” she recalls. “I think some days I’m still trying to figure that out.” \nWade’s partying spiraled into an addiction that she eventually realized she needed to quit. As of this summer\, she’s been sober for 8 years. In the time since\, she’s become one of Nashville’smost critically-acclaimed stars\, and her fans began finding her old music\, which she played on early tours and had put up on YouTube. They started requesting she put them out officially\, so Wade began digging through her archives of voice notes and videos to find the songs that she felt were good enough to record and play. With her go-to producer Clint Wells\, they refined and arranged these songs that were written by Wade on her own\, between the ages of 19 and 22\, to fit the setlist and discography of a 30-year-old star. \n“I’m at a place now where I’m good in my sobriety and I’m happy\,” she says. “I can revisit the songs and look back on them fondly\, and not from a place of wanting to shelter myself from that. I remember exactly where I was at and what I was doing when I wrote them. I’m looking back as an adult who’s sober\, who’s happy\, who’s healthy\, who’s doing very well\, saying ‘Alright\, you were an idiot\, but you were smart in some areas.’” \nThe songs on The Party Is Over run the gamut of a young woman torn between feelings of loneliness and typical coming-of-age confusion with the desire to lose herself in the ecstasy of pain-numbing substances. Lead single “East Coast” was a preview of what Wade was feeling towards the end of this period of her life\, “decidin’ ‘tween the Bible and the bottle.” \n“That song was in the 27 Club realm of things that I’ve written\,” Wade explains. “I knew that the people that connect with deep songs like that really connect with those. I’m always happy to put things out that touch on my sobriety and mental health and are a big reflection of where I was at that time.” \nThe oldest song on the album is “Parking Garage\,” written when Wade was “19 and lonely” as she sings at the start of the track. “I had a couple of friends that we would go smoke weed in the parking garage beside the dorm in her car\, and I think back about that\,” she says. “So I just wrote it after hanging out with them. It was really fun to go back and give life to it because it never hadbeen recorded at all.” \nOn the tail end of this period is the title track\, “The Party Is Over.” She was around 21\, reflecting on a relationship that had seen better days. She describes it as one built around the excess. Capping off the album is the sole new song from the collection\, “Hardwood Floor.” The song is inspired by her experience going through IVF\, due to the preventative measures she has done and will be taking in the future after testing positive for the RAD5ID gene. This gene\, along with her family history of breast cancer\, puts her at high risk for the disease. Wade underwent a double mastectomy in December 2023 and will eventually need to have a hysterectomy and her ovaries removed to prevent ovarian cancer. \n“It’s a heavy process\,” she says. “It’s expensive. It’s draining. It’s stressful.” Wade has known other friends who have done IVF to conceive and watching them struggle to be heard by their own doctors made Wade reflect on the rarely discussed pain of infertility. She wrote the song in one take\, and when she played it for Wells and her band\, they all cried. \n“I think back to when I was in high school\, and I thought you graduate\, you go to college\, and you get married and you have kids\,” she says. “I watch everyone around me\, all these strong\, beautifulwomen in my life that have children. When you really sit back and think about what a woman’s body can do\, that’s a powerful thing.” \nWade’s fourth album quickly follows 2024’s Obsessed\, which was the first album solely written by Wade. Since debuting in 2021 with Reckless\, Wade has found herself gaining considerable attention and acclaim amongst her country and roots music peers as well as musicians in the rock and pop world. She’s toured with everyone from Eric Church and Chris Stapleton to Alanis Morissette\, Joan Jett and\, most recently\, Shinedown. Her music has even gained considerable traction overseas\, rare for a singer in her field. \nNow\, with a collection of songs written when she was quite young\, Wade can see not only how far she’s come but how far along she already was back then. \n“I was a little bit nervous and I had to get out of my head with it\,” she says of dusting these off. “As a 19 year old kid\, I wrote these songs myself\, so I had to look at it from that view. There’s a lot of good memories that came back\, but even the painful things that I was reflecting on\, I was still glad.” \n** TICKET SHOW **\nGA Early Bird: $42 (all fees included) through 12/19 at 11:59pm (online only) \nGA Day of show: $47 (all fees included) 12/20 (day of show at the door only) \n* Table tickets available – Limited quantity * \n*GA tickets are standing room only\, with no seating guarantee.
